MTech USA manufactures high quality folding knives at a fraction of the cost that some of the “big name brand” companies sell their knives for. You can pick up a superb, razor sharp MTech tactical folding knife for around a $12 – $15 range! I have one sitting next to me right now and the bayonet style blade is exactly 4″ inches long. It has beautifully polished hardwood grips. It comes with a linerlock system that would make a $79 Cold Steel Ti Lite look small by comparison. It comes with a right handed thumb stud for one of a couple of methods of opening and it’s threaded, so you could convert it to left hand, if needed. It also has the same hilt as the Ti Lite which is notched, for opening the blade by using the “pocket drag” method. This method snags the hilt along the corner of your pant’s pocket for a lightning fast opening, from an inside the pocket, belt clipped carry. The MTech however, has nicely rounded edges on their hilts and won’t dig into your thumb when grasping the knife firmly in your hand. It took me about 1/2 hour with a dremmel and finishing stone to round off the hilt on my Ti Lite to achieve the same amount of comfort.
MTech has some very nice folding sports knives as well for EDC (every day all-purpose) carry. Not one of them runs more than $15 and most are only around $12. They span a large range of “looks” and the blades vary in lengths depending on the model. There’s one that’s legal for pocket carry, no matter where you currently reside. They all have thumb-stud opening and are equipped with pocket clips for a super-easy carrying solution.
It’s funny about knives, sometimes you get what you pay for, sometimes you just pay for a brand name, but with MTech USA brand knives you always get a lot more than what you paid for. I highly recommend MTech folding knives for a look. I’ve purchased three in the past 6 months for comparison to other more high priced brand names. I have been pleasantly surprised by the MTech knives on all three occasions. They didn’t make a “ding” in my wallet which is always a nice experience!

Not that I’m aware of Tom. They are decent knives and a Google search for “MTech folding knife” should yield a good amount of them.
